Chamber Members Eat!

The San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce has a very nice publication it puts out on a quarterly basis. The magazine, Business Action, highlights regional business issues as well as spotlights members, with distribution going to 4,000 members throughout the county. If you are a restaurant and a member, you can be featured in the Chamber Eats column. We invited some Chamber staffers to visit Red Marlin for dinner a couple months back. Giving Gas to the Elderly

Whew! What a day yesterday was. So it went a little something like this. Barona Valley Ranch Resort and Casino is launching a month long promotion – The Tanker A Day Great Gas Giveaway – where from Sept 1 – Sept 27 a Barona guest will walk away with 4,000 gallons of gas. Our task was to help kick off this promotion.

So we came up with the idea of giving the first tanker of gas to a charity that is most impacted by the rising gas prices – Meals on Wheels. We arranged the event with MOW, wrote all the speaking points, etc. Barona arranged for the tanker. And voila! In lieu of a $20,000 check, Barona delivered a gas tanker and we delivered five television stations to cover the event. Here’s one of them.

Everyone’s happy. And that’s the way we like it.
